About Us

Hartsgrove Assembly for Christ has been in existence since 1978.   We are a small town country church located in a beautiful setting on a rural country road surrounded by woods.  It is a place you can truly get alone with God.

We have had the same pastor, Rev. Tom Ross, since January of 1979. Back then the church was named Miracle Temple Church, and it has seen the Lord move just in the way the name was.

We are a Pentecostal Church, which means that we believe in the experiencing of the Gifts of the Holy Ghost, which is derived from the Bible account that Jesus Christ is the same Yesterday Today and Forever (Hebrews 13:8), and what went on in the book of the Acts of the apostles is still going on today.

As we come together to worship God and strengthen each other through fellowship and encouraging one another in the faith, we strive to allow our Father to present himself true, alive and constantly with us. We have seen many evidences of His Word the Bible being truth.

We welcome anyone to come and join us in this experience of worship and prayer, with fellowship of the Holy Ghost through the name of Jesus Christ.

We do not put ourselves above others, but believe we are a part of the family of the Lord God Jehovah. Jesus Christ being His only begotten son and our Lord and Savior.

What We Believe

We believe that the Bible is God’s inspired Word and it is the Truth even for this age.

That the Word of God is to be experienced and practiced as the way of life God has chosen for His children, this is why James said for us to be doers of the Word and not hearers only. (James 1:22)

We believe that all have sinned and have come short of the Glory of God, and that God sent Jesus into the world to save us from our sins. (Romans 3:12)

The bible teaches that whosoever would call upon the name of the Lord Jesus will be saved. (Romans 10:9-13)

We believe we must “follow peace with all men, and holiness, without which no man shall see the Lord” (Hebrews 12-14)

We believe Jesus is the ONLY way to be saved for eternity. “Neither is there salvation in any other: for there is no other name under heaven given among men, whereby we must be saved”. (Acts 4:12)

We believe that Jesus died for our sins according to old testament prophecy and  that he was buried, and that he rose again the third day according to the scriptures. (1 Corinthians 15:3-4)

We believe that he is still alive in heaven sitting at the right hand of God, and making intercession for us even now (Hebrews 7:24-25 & Hebrews 9:24 &  Hebrews 10:12)

We also believe that since Jesus is alive and sitting in heaven for us, that he gave Gifts to men which are to be exercised regularly, during worship and in the daily routines of life. (1 Corinthians 12, 13 & 14 - Ephesians 4:8-14)

We also believe in the glorious resurrection of the dead which we shall receive a glorified body and live eternally.  John 5:28-29, 1Corithians 1-10, 1Thessalonians 4:13-18.
